Black-Eyed Peas
8 oz blackl-eyed peas
1/2 large onion, cut BIG
1-2 garlic cloves, minced
3-4 jalapenos, seeded, cut in quarters
1/3-1/2 Conacuh sausage, sliced thin or thick and cut in half
S&P
*****ADD SALT IN LAST 15 MINUTES*****
Bake in oven at 250 degrees. Test after a few hours.
*****NOTE: On 1-1-24, I cooked in the Ninja (slow cooker option) on HIGH for 3 hours. BEPs got mushy. If trying on high again, check at 2 hours. Or cook on slow.
If using a crock pot, cook on low. Test after 2-3 hours.
